Every client’s and family’s needs are different and so our service is tailored individually – there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach. However as Chartered Financial Planners some aspects are common to all of our relationships with our clients:
- First and foremost, we will always spend time getting to know you and understanding your personal circumstances and goals. The first meeting is focused on this, and is always at our expense and without any commitment on your part. As well as us getting to know you, this initial stage is a good opportunity for you to get to know us as well.
- Whether in retirement planning, investments, life assurance or business matters, financial matters are almost always intertwined with each other (and sometimes also with your family or business partners). We will always make sure that your financial planning is considered in the round and examined from every angle.
- Where we make recommendations for a course of action, we will always provide a detailed report setting out all of the details, the risks and benefits, and the thinking behind our advice. We will usually also present our conclusions at a second meeting in person, giving us both the opportunity to discuss the recommendations and make sure that there are no unanswered questions or uncertainties.
- Most importantly, financial planning must be regularly reviewed. Even the most thorough and well-crafted plan will begin to disappoint if it is not reviewed, revised and kept up-to-date. Depending on circumstances, we may suggest yearly reviews, or sometimes half-yearly. And of course we are always at the end of the telephone in between!
