Could a cold-calling ban stop pension scams?

Following a BBC's Panorama programme investigation on pension scams in 2016, a number of Independent Financial Advisers came together to sponsor a petition calling on the government to ban cold calling for pensions or investments.

Our director, Scott Gallacher, was one of the original co-sponsors as we're keen to do all that we could to alert people to the dangers of pension and investment scams.

The petition picks up considerable support from financial and national press, and two former Pensions Ministers joining the fight.

Two years on, it appears that the government may finally be nearing enacting the relevant legisation to make this happen and as a result, Scott was invited to join Paul Lewis on the BBC's Money Box radio programme to discuss this.

If you missed the programme you can listen to the podcast here.
