Legal & General’s first ever Deadline to the Breadline Report shows that, the average person in the UK, could be on the breadline in just 19 days if they suffered a critical illness, injury or the death of the main breadwinner.

However, in the East Midland’s it is even worse with the average person being on the breadline in just 16 days. To compound the problem people in the East Midlands suffered worse than average sickness with 2.1% of hours lost due to ill health compared to the national average of 1.8%.
